Circa 2000, Under the leadership of Rod Millwood and the late Mona Wilkerson The Laff House—The Original Comedy Club was considered a premiere comedy venue for veteran and emerging comedians, then situated on the bustling iconic South Street in Philadelphia, PA. With an intimate setting that seated 240 ppl, The Laff House was widely known for being the springboard for comedians to hone their stage skills and develop into renowned professionals, comedians such as Kevin Hart, Mike Blackson, Bill Burr, Lisa Lampanelli, Gary Owens, Mike Epps, Deon Coles, J. B. Smoove and many others have now become household names.
